Shown below is a selection of projects and a testimonial from the people involved.

ST JOHN'S PRIMARY SCHOOL, W13 0NY

A 2mx2m mural created by half the school

Did the finished workshop meet your expectations and outcomes?

Visually it was exactly what we wanted. It defiantly brightens up the front of the school.

What do you feel you have gained from the workshop?

I and the other members of staff have been inspired to do our own mosaics. We know want to pass these skills on to parents and children.

NEIGHBOURHOOD MANAGEMENT TEAM, OLD MIXON, BS24-9DA

A 2.4m diameter floor mural created by children from Old Mixon Primary School for their local shopping arcade

Did the finished workshop meet your expectations and outcomes?

Yes absolutely. The number of children involved exceeded my expectations and the finished piece was colourful and relevant

Any other comments?

David works well with large numbers of children to achieve the outcome. The materials are robust and fitting for the workshops and location

BISHOP SUTTON PRIMARY SCHOOL, BS39 5XD

A 2.4m mosaic floor circle and 1.8m high column created by the whole school

Did the finished workshop meet your expectations and outcomes?

We were absolutely thrilled with the finished mosaics, the children's designs have been sympathetically recreated onto the mosaic slabs and pot. Every child in the school, from age 4 to 11 has a very special part of the mosaic which they created – also the staff loved to take part and complete their special areas.

What do you feel you have gained from the workshop?

All the children had the opportunity to work with a visiting artist, see a large art project develop from the planning stage to completion, learn and develop mosaic skills and be inspired to extend and develop their own creative art work on a larger scale.
