Mosaic Seating |
 |
To create low cost but highly individual
seating - Which is near vandal proof! |
| Working with groups
of children or adults (or a mix!) we can create mosaic seating from: |
- New
- Refurbish existing seating
- Create curved seating (similar to Gaudi's mosaics in Barcelona)
- Add extras in like a barbeque, picnic table, plant containers
- dedede
|
| Mosaic seating: |
- Organisations, community groups and schools are
able to create the mosaic seating from start to finish.
- Created by yourselves there's no need for builders
or seating firms to be involved.
- Constructed using concrete breeze blocks built
onto an existing hard surface or a new foundation.
- The size and design of the seating is based on
whole blocks and so there is no need for any cutting of these
blocks & the mortar joints need not be perfect since they
will be covered with tiles
- Finally timber decking or blanks are fitted to
the top to act as the seating.
- Refurbish existing seating that uses brick or breeze
blocks and cover in mosaics.
- To reduce the risk of vandalism
- By having the seating created by local children
or adults.
- The only part which can be burnt is the wooden
seating (which could easily be replaced)
- It's unlikely to be graffitied or tagged as its
low and colourful - and could be cleaned off
- As the seating is a completely solid structure
any tiles that are somehow broken off then can be easily re-mosaiced
or replaced
